No Bid

Auction has expired without any bids.

The top 4 bids will earn the right to request Video Game Pianist™ (VGP) to do a “Live Leung” (a play on the words “live learn” and exactly the same function as a “live learn”) of video game music. A “live learn” is when Video Game Pianist™ Martin Leung learns a song or piece of video game music by ear on the spot. Then VGP performs the music on the stream.

Please read the Rules and Procedures, Desired Example Situation No. 1:, Undesired Example Situation No. 1, Undesired Example Situation No. 2 below slowly, thoroughly, and carefully. By participating in bidding and requesting a “Live Leung,” you, the user, agree to fully understand all of the below. If the user has any questions or comments, the user may email martin@vgpianist.com.

  1. Users may only bid if text reads on the live stream, “‘Live Leung’ Bidding System Active”.
  2. The text “‘Live Leung’ Bidding System Active” will be shown for the first 10 minutes of the stream, if Video Game Pianist is taking “Live Leung” requests for that stream.
  3. In order for a user to participate in this bidding system, the user must have a YouTube account and have the capability and permission to make a donation through Streamlabs.
  4. The minimum bid amount is $25 USD.
  5. A user who makes one of top four bids agrees to, within 5 minutes (300 seconds) of the auction ending, make a donation and request through Streamlabs at https://streamlabs.com/videogamepianist#/
  6. The donation amount through Streamlabs must be exactly or higher than the amount than the user’s bid.
  7. When making a request, please include a link (preferably YouTube) or a concise description of a video game music song or piece for the “Live Learn.” The duration of the music must be at most 3 minutes in length. In the order of the highest bid amount to the lowest bid amount, Video Game Pianist will then learn the song or piece by ear and perform it on the spot. If you have sheet music for the “Live Learn,” please email the sheet music (in PDF format only) to martin6789public [at] gmail [dot] com. Do not send files or scans of published sheet music. Video Game Pianist prefers to do “Live Learns” for songs or pieces of music that have singable melodies and are memorable.
  8. For requests that are not specific enough, incomplete, or if the request is not 100% fully clear for any reason, Video Game Pianist will chose at his liking, what to play or specifically what version of the song or piece of music to play.
  9. Failure to follow any of the above rules will result in the user being disqualified from making any bids for the next 30 days (720 hours or 43,200 minutes or 2,592,000 seconds.)
  10. A user who does a chargeback, for any reason, will be banned from Video Game Pianist’s channel.
  11. A user who is disqualified may still donate to make non-bidding requests, such as for Video Game Pianist to play a video game music piece from his repertoire list.

Moral of this story: The user must be very specific and triple-check the user’s donation amount. The user must not bid irresponsibly! From VGP’s point of view, music transcription is a very exact science, art, and sport that requires complete and total focus. VGP tries his very best to fulfill the “Live Leung” requests. Therefore, the user, must do the user’s part and be precise on the user’s side. Even a slight imprecision on the user’s part will affect the outcome (negatively) on VGP’s part (negatively affect his focus, psyche). Therefore VGP will not fulfill a user’s request if the Rules and Procedures as stated above are not perfectly followed.
